An easy, meaningful service project for your meetings or events! Positive Postcard Project cards share messages of human connection and love that can inspire, comfort, or uplift a recipient of any faith or non-faith perspective.
Many support card and note projects come from churches and faith-biased groups and organizations. They often contain language that isn’t meaningful to non-religious people – and in fact, can further victimize them and increase their burden. People in need of comfort and support are diverse, and they each deserve to be honored for who they are.
People of all faith and non-faith perspectives deserve resources, support, representation, comfort, care, and love. Positive Postcards engages the secular community and our allies in providing support and encouragement to people in need. It educates all of us about respecting the diverse perspectives of those who receive these cards. As compassionate humans, we recognize our connection to others and act to make a positive difference.
A person’s time of turmoil, challenge, or disadvantage should not be an opportunity to proselytize. As Atheists, we are empowered to ensure that members of our shared values community are respected and supported. As Humanists, we have a responsibility to seek the means to uplift others and make the world a better place.
Please consider hosting a Positive Postcard Project event with your organization.
